About the School

Established over 30 years ago, in Lexington, MA, the Deborah Abel School of Modern Dance offers classes for children (K & up), teens, and adults in Modern technique, Creative Movement, and Street Funk.

​

Deborah's classes have a devoted community following due to her singular combination of warmth, rigor, spirit, and collaboration.

 

All classes are taught by Director Deborah Abel and include an integrated warm-up, technical guidance, phrases of Deborah's luscious and detailed choreography, and the very unique opportunity for students to collaborate with one another, choreographing dances of their own.

 

Deborah's dancers flourish under her thoughtful feedback and infectious enthusiasm, forming close connections both with Deborah and their peers.
